Matt Cooper Miracle Story HD

**HD content is close to 50 MB. Quicktime Required. Let it download completely before watching.**

This story was a real pleasure to work on. Our subject, Matt Cooper, is a talented, articulate, and bright young man who just so happens to love golf.

With the help of Karen McLure and Robyn Soffera of Duke Children's Hospital we set out to tell Matt's story. We found out that the hospital was working on a story already. So with a few phone calls David Salmon sent out a drive with new material that he had just shot. The footage was perfect but not enough golf. So we made a personal visit. We hope you like the results.

This story will play a critical role on during the tournament and broadcast:

- All the volunteers, 2500 of them, will watch Matt's story as a part of their orientation.

- The story will play on Media Day as the media comes to Orlando to start writing stories for print, radio, and television.

- The story will also be the highlight of the "Draw Party". Where the Pro-Am players and families get together to make the pairings for the tournament.

- The story will also play on the Golf Channel in the U.S. and Europe during the for live rounds and prime time replays.

Matt will connect with those who love or hate the game of golf. His personality is infectious as we had the time to meet with him over a couple of days.

Thanks again to Matt, Dan Cooper, Wendy Cooper, Robyn Soffera (Duke Children's), David Salmon (NC Producer), Shelley Osterloh (Writer, Director), Brandon Christensen (Director of Photography), Jim Hughes (editor), and several key players that help these stories get produced.

Cindy and Michael Bufalini Miracle Story HD

Cindy & Michael Bufalini Story HD

**HD content is close to 50 MB. Let it download completely before watching.**

We went to Watertown, NY to shoot a golf story for this years Children's MIracle Network Classic. Jocelyn, our hospital director at Samaritan Medical Center, was more than accommodating after submitting Michael's name for a possible candidate for the Classic media materials. We met the Bufalini family briefly and got to the business of shooting a story.

Shelley Osterloh did all the leg-work setting up interviews and pulling elements of the story together. She is excellent to work with and her competitive nature is channeled into her quest for perfection. A great asset to have for any story gathering exercise. I couldn't have pulled this one off without her hard work and expertise.

Brandon Christensen was a one man band operating the camera, gaffing, and running audio too. He's talented and I lean on him for a unique look for our images and he delivers time and time again.

The final piece for on-air will be 2 min. and lean towards golf. I knew with the Matt Cooper story being about him and golf the Bufalini story needed to be less about golf if it was going to be used by our staff here and abroad.

During lunch one day I thought we about the material we captured and could make a story really from Cindy's perspective and her experience.

Jim Hughes, freelance editor, set out to cut a new version with more of a Cindy slant with less golf. He took it 80% before his freelance duties took him to Australia. So I sat in the chair ( and realized how much I love editing, especially when the footage and coverage of shots is this good ) to finish the Bufalini story for general Children's Miracle Network use.

I'm proud of how this story turned out. I think it shows how far reaching Children's Miracle Network is over 25 years. I also think about how much Michael really is a true miracle baby.

The first real audience is Wednesday at our Fall Meetings in Newport, CA.

New Miracle Stories

Kaidence Stephenson, Matt Cooper, Cindy and Michael Bufalini are three new stories that are nearing completion. I'm very proud of the work that the Studio Production Team has put into these new stories.

When you see these stories I think you'll agree that Don Fyffe (Producer, Editor and now After Effects MoGraph artist) knocked it out of the park with his piece, Kaidence Stephenson.

Shelley Osterloh (of KSL, NBC, and Olympic hopeful) did extensive research on the Matt Cooper and Michael & Cindy Bufalini stories.

We will post up each story with a little background information, a link for downloads, and possibly some photos to go along.
